Today I'm gonna give you a brief introduction to Issue 76's Day in the Life recipient, Kareem Williams. I'm not really sure where to begin with Kareem, he's one of those people that you can't really sum up in one paragraph, but I'll give it a shot.

I don't really remember when it was that I met Kareem, but it was probably just in passing while riding around Austin. I do remember that he started talking to me like we already knew each other, and I'm pretty sure I remember him calling out 360ing the Austin Church gap (ahem, still waiting on that one). I think he was still on his high from the 360 over the rail on that stair set that Randy Taylor whipped on the cover of Ride UK.

I remember thinking that Kareem was extremely cocky and loud, and is exactly the type of person I usually try to avoid. I didn't even see him around all that much, but he kept acting like we were buddies, so I guess he convinced me that we were. Anyway, we got to hanging out more and more and eventually I let him crash at my house, and even agreed to buy his poor ass some food if he kept me entertained.

Here are a few Kareem fun facts I've picked up along the way:

- Kareem is a complete and total train wreck of a human being. Usually having no money, no job, and no place to live.
- On the rare occasion he does have money, it's gone in 5 minutes.
- Kareem has no idea how to work on his own bike.
- Kareem owns a pillow that looks like it has been deep fried, it's the greasiest thing I have ever seen.
- Every time I try to film with Kareem, the session ends with him getting murdered. Every time. His Day in the Life is no exception.
- Kareem is a professional roach. You can't get rid of him even if you want to.
- Kareem once left his wallet in my van while in Florida, which unfortunately I didn't realize it until I was well on my way out of Florida. The funny thing is, it was the day of his 21st birthday and his ID was in the wallet. Yep, that means Kareem had to spend his 21st birthday just sitting on someone's couch while everyone else went out and partied.
- Kareem is his own worst enemy, he's like the salmon and the stream all rolled up into one.
- Kareem is one of those people that makes you laugh nonstop, even if he's the butt of the joke. Actually, he's always the butt of the joke, but he can take it.

That's what I like about him and that's the reason that I chose to film a Day in the Life with him - because he's probably one of the most entertaining people in BMX today. Thanks for being a part of Issue 76 Kareem, I really appreciate it. We'll get you rich one of these days, or kill you trying.
