There’s no denying Darryl is a one of a kind in the world of BMX. In this Setup Darryl talks about his brand new ride and sessions 9th Street in Austin. His girlfriend Fiona even jams out on a ukulele and sings a song live for the part. Gotta love it!
Never a man of few words, Darryl writes:
This winter I had the time of my life spending 6 months riding my brand new custom American made FBM Gypsy frame down in Austin, TX. Everyday since heading back to NYC, I’ve woken up missing my Austin family of BMX brothers and sisters with Tom and Tina from Empire being the best parents to any BMX scene a rider could ask for.
I was fortunate to work hand in hand with the amazingly talented filmer / editor who happens to work for Props, Terrell Gordy. We took an afternoon and a morning to shoot this Bike Set Up down at the sacred holy grounds of BMX known as 9th St.
I would like to take a moment to thank all of the amazing independent BMX companies, brands and the people behind them whom helped make this bike possible and make me love BMX with all my heart. This is my first new bike in 13 years and I personally selected every component on this bike making this a truly custom ride.
